Hi,
for the 2nd time tonight, FreeBSD has just froze up, nothing to go on why it has, just doesn't respond, goes offline etc, have to restart it to get it to work.
any ideas why?

A list of reasons I have had FreeBSD freeze on me.
- Bad memory
- Dead CPU fan
- Dead PS fan (not enough case ventilation)
- Bad memory on a RAID controller
- Lack of wt-cache on a RAID controller (no battery)
I would have to say that the memory is going to be the biggest culprit.

It was a power fault, which I upgraded a 300w psu to a 550w and it has no problems when it comes to power.

Did you establish that the old PSU was faulty? Or was it just a matter of "try this one, oh it works now!"?
This is not criticism. I'm merely curious.
